A sexy, always smiling, genuinely interested in people, and always dressed in black female version has my vote.

I’ve never read anything by Gaiman that I’ve actively disliked; he just leaves me feeling like I’ve eaten a McDonald's burger rather than an actual meal.

This short comic was written by Gaiman and drawn by Dave McKean, and featured basic safe sex information about the transmission of HIV and AIDS.

The hardcover collection was reprinted as a trade paperback in June 1994 under a new McKean cover, with identical content. I liked this graphic novel installment, and while not great, it's an interesting story and the art is good. By that point, DC Comics had several ongoing titles that were decidedly off-kilter, particularly in comparison to their usual fare dominated by crusaders wearing capes, and they were generally considered to exist in their own little continuity-optional corner of the publisher’s mythos. Gaiman wanted to create a version of the mythical Grim Reaper who would be far more agreeable to encounter than the more recognizable avatar of an imposingly becloaked figure wielding a massive scythe. Gaiman’s Sandman is such a brilliant and creative series; yet, for all that Dream does not have much personality.

There is nothing much to say about the plot; even if there is an antagonist of sorts in the form of the Eremite, the spotlight is on the Death incarnate and Sexton. In a whole day they spent together, both took from each other important lessons about life and the value of it. Page 19 and 20 in the first print of this issue were not facing each other, which led to this being corrected and reprinted. The first thing he ever does when a refrigerator falls on him in the garbage dump is scream for help.
