It’s beautiful to look at, I love this limited edition lilac colour, the stainless steel trimmings and the 360 degree lid. Was so excited by the series 2 design (aesthetics, handle, silicon base) but similar to other reviews actually drinking from it is totally impractical. It’s a little frustrating when you’re wearing a white shirt, to say the least, so I tend to use it without the twist lock lid. However I have put my series 1 through the dishwasher countless times and it still looks and preforms as good as it did on day one. The mug is thermally insulated, keeping coffee warm for up to 90 minutes, more than enough time to get through your morning latte.Oh, and it's made from a number of the many millions of used coffee cups that the brand have collected from around the country (then cleaned and blended into a new material). I’m unsure if the plastic lid had become misshapen somehow, or perhaps I just got unlucky and landed a bad one.

It’s worth noting that there’s no option to close off the opening on this cup, so if it toppled on its side it would obviously spill out through the sipping hole. I was pretty sceptical, given the aforementioned marketing campaign but I was shocked by how well it worked. Why we love it: Making your own brew (and refraining the urge to stop off at Starbucks) will be a total joy with this Good Citizen Coffee Company cup.The collar screws off as you attempt to open it and the collar is not comfortable to drink from, I've spilt water on myself twice using just for the first time today. The classic stainless steel design is scratch resistant and apparently immune to dents - I’ve thrown it around enough to know. Some water bottles are dishwasher safe but it is still important to clean the smaller parts with a toothbrush or bottle brush, especially those with built-in straws. The lid on the series 1 Chilly’s cup will prevent major spills, but we can’t expect zero leaks as there is a sip hole opening. Plastic can be quite durable, but it’s never recycled, only down-cycled, meaning eventually it’ll reach a point where it’s no longer usable.
