Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys is a 2003 compilation of music by The Beach Boys released through Capitol Records. It features Motown artist Stevie Wonder on harmonica and keyboards on the song “I Do Love You”, which he also wrote. The group here reached a whole new level in terms of both composition and production, layering tracks upon tracks of vocals and instruments to create a richly symphonic sound.
May 16 marks the acclaimed album’s 50th anniversary, and to commemorate the milestone, The Beach Boys and Capitol will release special expanded editions of the recorded masterpiece, as well as a range of exclusive Pet Sounds merchandise.I wanted a genuine essence of the beach boys album without any dilution or badly re-mastered digital messing about.
