The plot will get compared to The Omen, the Richard Donner film from the 1970’s, but where that plot involved a supernatural presence this book does not which makes it a little scarier. Suzette wore a silk shirtdress, loosely belted to show off her figure, and shoes that cost a fortune. She couldn't phrase it to him as a desperate need for her own time and space; she couldn't make it all about herself.
