About this deal

This wasn't my first cologne ever but it was the first one I ever actually liked so much that I bought it s 2nd time. I don’t have a giant collection so there could be better comparisons but the iris is similar to that in Gentlemen EDT Intense, just not nearly as aromatic or “minty” of the top. But the smell is mass appealing and super versatile, ideal for a yearlong dumb grab, or formal wear. And as always the aldehydes is extremly prominant with perfumes like these, they smell so frosty and like a gust of winter wind.

I was scared when someone blind bought this scent for me instead of the 'absolu' but I can say it is something I can reach for in colder weather. I like powdery/soapy scents but this scent did not impress me much, maybe the dry down but overall I would give it 6/10. Definitely one of my personal favourites, but I can understand why some flankers are very popular also. Because of how close this is to the skin, it's suitable for wearing any time of the day in my opinion.

Armani Code Parfum nails versatility with a sweet warmth that is suitable for dates and a fresh, soapy vibe that "works for work". It was with this name that this oriental and spicy fragrance came on the market, bringing a mix of seductive and elegant notes concentrated in a dark and cylindrical bottle.

I LOVE the Bergamot Leaf in it, changes the fragrance from just another iris/tonka to a new leafy dimension i wasn't familiar with - gives it so much freshness; I think it's suitable for any season, any time of the day, any occasion. Until about close to 10+ hours later when I noticed that i had a faint scent when I got home amazingly and maybe by pure chance I got a good batch but the scent was firmly planted on my skin and smelled way better than the first handful of hours. I tried it on a few months ago and wasn't impressed by it much anymore it could be possibly that I went from having 3-4 fragrances to over 50+ now. I've read reports of problems involving the term "Black" on the European market, but nothing confirmed.

The name shifted in 2005 from Black Code to Armani Code, deemed "more appropriate" by De Lesquen, embodying "the ultimate code of seduction for men.

Way better than the original Armani Code 2004, makes the smell stand out a lot more with how deep and rich the smell is. Top notes are Bergamot and Bergamot Leaf; middle notes are Iris, Clary Sage, Aldehydes and Orris; base notes are Tonka Bean and Cedar. In the beginning you are going to be hit with a large dose of masculine freshness form the bergamot and woody notes.

I think perhaps the base notes could be a bit more prominent to help make it more round and possibly increase its performance. That's what makes Armani Code (Black Code before 2005) different from the rest of the numerous powdery scents. Whether it's the ambroxan, the cauliflower or the widow's cabbage, I just cannot get into this best-selling scent, as much as I love Shecky Delabarre's other works ("Geraldo!
