The man who worked the register there when my friend wanted Aventus immediately recommended L'Adventure instead. I am pretty happy with longevity and silage, but I am not a great fan of the lemon note so I will not go for a full bottle. so I bought laventure intense because I heard about the increase in pineapple sweetness that all the reviews talk about and i was extremely dissapointed. I want to wear my GIT only for special occasions or dates with my wife which I consider a special occasion all the time.At first it smells floral, I couldn't pin point the other note though, but looking at the notes it is DEFINTELY the elemi note. This magical elixir will impress you with its rich and captivating aroma, which will certainly not leave you indifferent. Though it carries the same overall scent profile (for the most part, at least), it's nowhere near as potent or smokey as it used to be where a couple of sprays could easily fill up a decent sized room and last for hours and hours. I put it in my closet after that and waited for spring, but looks like the juice simply turned bad in about 5 months. I don't get pineapple at all, more like sweet orange with earthiness that I'm finding out is not one of my favorite scent profiles to wear.

I cannot compare to CDIM as it's a totally different scent profile - CDIM is fruity/smoky whereas L'venture is Fruity/woody/musky. It dries down to a fruitier citrus feel from the piercing citrus notes that this fragrance opens up with. This is not a close clone but rather a fragrance that will remind you of Aventus and good to be on its own. I have often wondered if bizarrly the EDT may suit me better as it may be a little ' livelier' up top and have a bit more of a multi-dimensional vibe, as opposed to the EDP/Parfum which I found very 2D and flat. At this point, L'Adventure smells lovely, but it doesn't smell like my batches of Adventus (lacks the smokiness of my 2012 and the pineapple of my 2017).I applied a few sprays today just for giggles because I was rushing to work and it was the first thing in my fragrance cabinet. Al Haramain is sure to appeal to anyone who makes their choice on aesthetic grounds, is able to pay a little more for luxury, or has fallen under the spell of the Middle East.

I personally recommend the 200ml bottle because the ergonomics are much better and the bottle is less awkward to spray. The texture of the patchouli is spot on to the patchouli in Aventus, while CDNI is a bit more brash. A few people have mentioned a slight "green" vibe going on despite the notes being mostly light and citrusy. OK, below here there seems to be a lot of people complaining this doesn't last and doesnt project, you're wrong, period, it does.The tester comes without the fancy packaging (usually in a plain white box) and often without a cap (unless mentioned otherwise). After application, L'aventure smells good but as quick as 20-40 minutes later it is a skin scent then another 10+ minutes after it is gone. and the funny thing is, it performed well when I first bought it in winter, at least for the first couple of days. And yes, I have nothing better to do with my time and money other than collect Aventus clones of varying quality. This was a mostly sleepless night before I even considered going to bed and the dry down was so strong it stuck onto my pillow.

I find L’Aventure leaning more orange scented and CDNIM more dry/dirty lemon scented (at the opening). Yes the performance is good and improved over the original laventure but its also even further away from smelling like aventus compared to the original laventure.
