Anthony Quinn is one of my favourite novelists and I've devoured, with relish, all of his fiction titles. In my opinion, the book is much the better for this as it flip flops between outlining how the author fell in love with Liverpool FC as a young boy (following an initial flirtation with Celtic), detailing Klopp's early life, footballing career and forays into management with Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, before providing comparisons between Klopp and the man who previously galvanised Liverpool FC, Bill Shankly. He has taken Liverpool back to the top of European football by winning the 2019 UEFA Champions League final and also led them to a club record Premier League points total. This was disappointingly brief and largely uncritical from an author who has no obvious vested interest, and who was unable to find any contributors who had worked with him since the start of his Dortmund stunt, which was 7 years prior to publication. It is the intensity of the football, of how the people live football in Liverpool, all the Liverpool fans around the world.

Ganz ohne ein paar biographische Daten geht es zwar nicht, aber genau das macht den Blick des Fans aus.He is the co-author of the football tactics book The Anatomy of the Modern Gam e, a graduate in business administration and is currently writing a doctoral thesis on sport economics. I have been head coach of several semi-pro football teams in Greece and worked as a technical director in the Academies of DOXA Dramas (Greek football league, 2nd division). The charismatic manager played for the best part of 325 appearances for Mainz Club and scored 52 goals, then he became the manager for the same club Mainz 05 and secured Bundesliga promotions in 2004 before he was appointed manager of Liverpool in 2015, he won two Bundesliga titles with Borussia Dortmund, I'm glad that I had the chance to read about one of the greatest football managers in the world. Although this book obviously includes an awful lot of soccer, club and match related history and information (which, again, I'm not really interested in), I really enjoyed this book and found it very interesting. The Attacking analysis has been used to produce 16 sessions (75 practices) including functional practices, patterns of play, possession games, transition games, opposed/unopposed zone play, game situations and small sided games.

Bei aller Nähe und eigener Begeisterung schafft er dennoch ein wenig Distanz und schafft es auf diese Weise auch den Blick von außen in seinen Text miteinfließen zu lassen. It really helps the reader to understand what makes Jurgen Klopp tick and provides reasoning behind all the decisions he makes and how he has been mounded into the character he is today. Vielleicht ist auch deswegen die Begeisterung in England für den deutschen Trainer so groß: Schließlich brachte er den Verein wieder zurück in die Erfolgsspur. After finished reading this book, sometimes it kept me wonder whether Klopp fully applies the theories being stated in the book; when you can sense in games he did not apply them thoroughly.More coverage is given to the tactical changes during his playing career than during his management career, and there is too much of an emphasis on his team's results, rather than his role as manager - with the notable exception of his touchline antics. He is the co-author of the football tactics book The Anatomy of the Modern Game, a graduate in business administration and is currently writing a doctoral thesis on sport economics. This long awaited 2 book set in FU LL CO LO UR contains a full and extensive analysis of Jurgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund team. He really evoked emotion from me, especially in the parts about games I remember vividly (4-0 Barca). Jürgen is widely considered football’s best manager and is admired for his leadership style, which champions hard work, compassion and, above all, team spirit!

Der Schreibstil von Anthony Quinn ist unterhaltsam, sympathisch und liest sich schnell weg - leider fehlt dem Inhalt des Buchs aber der rote Faden. If the processing is for other purposes, you have the right to object only if there are reasons arising from your particular situation. I would recommend this book to any football fan because it doesn't just relate to Klopp himself it also gives an interesting look at football coaching in general and how they operate and think. I couldn't follow these parts of the book, but what I really liked about the book is the author gave enough emphasis on how Klopp started, grew and learnt about the art of football and also about Klopp's superb character which nails him to be a great football manager. It tells of how Jürgen Klopp cake to be Liverpool Head Coach and how his time at the club led up to the club's Premier League win in 2020.

This powerful book features stylish and quirky illustrations and extra facts at the back, including a biographical timeline with historical photos and a detailed profile of the footballer’s life.

I told my players during the break: Since we're here anyway, we might actually play a bit of football. The rather flat narrative of his team's results means that his poorer performances are never questioned - he stuggled to get Mainz promoted, faltering at the end of the season, and Mainz's relegation is excused as he had to sell some players. Nonetheless, a bit of colour to Klopp's day-to-day methods would have improved this a lot in my view. A warm novel, part biography of the author and part fond-analysis of Klopps emergence as a human deity on Merseyside.Join our community to get personalised book suggestions, extracts straight to your inbox, 10% off RRPs, and to change children’s lives.
