If you'd like perfectly preserved waffles that keep their shape entirely, you can place them on a baking sheet that will fit in the freezer, making sure they're not touching each other, then put the tray into the freezer and leave for at least 2 hours, or overnight. The time can vary as well, so you’ll want to watch your waffle closely once you close it. I had mine on a medium-high heat setting and it took about 4-5 minutes to cook to get nice, golden brown hash brown waffles. If you don’t mind reheated eggs – ie if you’re someone who could make an egg casserole and eat it all week long, you could change things up and make a big batch of these and reheat all week long for breakfast!

I love waffles whether they are a classic American style Belgian waffle or a Liege waffle. I can’t get enough of them. Bubble Waffles, Egg Waffles or Eggettes come from Hong Kong. They are very popular there and in Thailand.Later, the mold was improved and designed into a small egg shape. This happy accident became the most classic and authentic street food in Hong Kong. Take a measuring cup or ladle and pour on some batter, starting in the middle and working out. Don’t pour in too much otherwise a lot of it will come out the sides. Add an extra egg or two. This won’t mess up your waffles, but will help to make them a little more moist. This waffle maker's main problem is that it didn't cook evenly in testing. With just 300 watts of power, it left the edges and center of each waffle lighter than the rest of it. (It was consistent, though, as we found that same issue from batch to batch on all the different doneness settings.) The machine also put out a lot more steam than other models, though that was somewhat helpful: We noticed that waffles were done cooking when the steam subsided, often a few seconds after the green indicator light turned on. It's designed to hold half a cup of batter per waffle, and that measurement is very accurate, filling the maker pretty perfectly with very little dripping.

Role them up into a cone and place in a wide glass and fill with ice cream, fruit, whipped cream, etc. Or serve the individual waffle eggs with some syrup or something on the side to dip them in. Or place it on a plate and add traditional waffle toppings like maple syrup, powdered sugar, etc. Enjoy! How to store leftover bubble waffles? Bubble waffles can also be broken apart into small, sweet balls which look somewhat like eggs. Pile them onto a plate, then cover them with your favorite toppings and a good amount of whipped cream or ice cream for a perfect dessert.Rotating waffle makers need to be flipped to start the cooking process, so you should flip it as soon as you add your batter and close the lid. The flip also helps spread the batter evenly across the waffle iron for even cooking and texture. Waffle-making can be messy: If you accidentally pour in even a little too much batter, it'll ooze out the sides as it cooks and expands, leaving a big mess on your countertop. This Chefman model is designed to avoid that possibility entirely, with a deep moat around the entire cooking surface that can catch just about any overflow and cook it into a little bit of bonus waffle. (The feature also comes in handy if you plan to use your waffle maker to cook eggs, a fun and useful but often sloppy process.) The moat design is similar to the Breville above, but it's attached to a much less expensive machine. In our testing, we didn't get any countertop spillage whatsoever. I can never forget about that special bond I had with the Hong Kong Style Egg Waffles … perhaps I should have said I am reluctant to have forgotten about it, probably due to the fact that the deep rich egg aroma has concealed within it my personal growing up memories in Hong Kong.
