There were also some deeply discounted bottles of things like Estee Lauder Youth Dew Sensuous Nude on a clearance shelf. This doesn't remind me of any other Sophia Grojsman fragrance although it does have typical Grojsman formulas from the 80's and 90's. This is for a girl who is working a part time job, or her first full time job, and it's not going to offend anyone around her.

This was the only perfume my mom would let me wear when I was young; I wanted to wear hers, but she always said "Whitney, you're way too young to wear mine". I'm a 9th grade teacher and it wears close to the skin and is sweet, pretty, and takes me to a very different world. I don't get any vanilla or powder notes on me but what I do get is musk and amber and a bit of flowers. This definitely has the "Hug-Me" accord made famous by Sophia Grojsman, and which features in many of her other compositions (Trésor Lancôme, Volupté Oscar de la Renta).I got it cause I wanted to feel the past come back at least the good times I had but its not what I expected. Exclamation shares the somewhat prominent peach note but it’s lighter than Tresor, and in my opinion this is its saving grace.

I wouldn't be caught dead wearing this for my work, however, as this does not ooze the confidence and the CEO boss quality I like when wearing perfume for work. These are supplanted by heart notes of lily of the valley, heliotrope, mesmerising jasmine, rose, and iris root. All of a sudden it dawned on me that the shampoo that I just bought smells exactly like this perfume exclamation. As these float away, they reveal the base of sumptuous vanilla, musk, cedar, exotic sandalwood, and amber with its warm, resinous, and decidely oriental scent. It smells like a mixture of those little boxes of apricot jam you get at hotel breakfasts, hairspray, the laundry detergent aisle and scented dolls.

I sprayed once on my wrist and it's still very much there with moderate sillage many hours later, so lasting power seems fine too. The opening is sweet, a mix of vanilla and peach that reminds me somehow of hi chew candy and fancy hair conditioner. Thinking the peach note is what I don't like, although I enjoy it in other perfumes (Trésor, Femme, Mitsouko. It's definitely powdery and sweet - I get vanilla, florals, and a fruitiness all at the same time - carried by the powdery aspect of this scent, with a hint of the wood too. I didn’t mind smelling it all the time… ALL the time… until my mom put me in aftercare at a church daycare.

But then I realized the statement I wanted to make without saying a word was better expressed via Chanel No. Based on the reviews I thought it would be a powdery girlish scent, or a light body mist, perhaps something comparable to a Victoria Secret's floral fragrance. We lived with my mother's best friend and I remember after she would would finish showering, getting dressed, and doing her makeup she would always spritz this on herself and be on the go. And I don't care if I'm over 40+ - I still enjoy this as much as the first moment it came into my life.If you are reading this perfume and you're new to Fragrantica and want to wear floral perfumes that do not come off as mature, this is the right perfume for you. But while everyone seemed to like take that and wear this, I wore addiction by Fabergé and liked east 17. The second girl is more modern, she’s wearing this because it’s the epitome of virginal femininity and she wears it in an ironic way even though we all know she’d like to be perceived as more innocent than she actually is.
