I have a list of romantic comedies with sunshine and grumpy characters that were written like a damn masterpiece. This one is just bad, I am sorry.So why did I give it 3 stars? Because I think it’s well written and it could be an overall a good time for most people, objectively, this wasn’t an awful book, it definitely wasn’t what I would consider a good story but the elements were there. Honestly, I should have DNFed because even the scenes I was looking forward to in the book (the ones promoting it on TikTok, you guys know what I mean) were a letdown.

(Revealing more tropes may spoil the plot!)Score does a beautiful job describing the characters, the setting, and the feelings of those involved. I feel that reading her books is a very immersive experience. if i had to suffer through these shitty and cringy spicy scenes, then so should you sorry not sorry

I thought I was deluding myself when I finished this book?! I thought to myself, “did I really love this??? Or was this just the first book I got excited for in what feels like a while??” The pacing was not for me. It was very insta-lovey just without them admitting it. I didn't feel the tension the characters were apparently experiencing and that really just turns me off the book. IF I DON'T FEEL THE TENSION, I DON'T WANT IT :) Knox has a steadfast aversion to complications, particularly high-maintenance women, especially those seeking romance. However, when Naomi's life unravels before his eyes, he can't help but lend a helping hand to get her out of her predicament. His plan is simple: once she stops finding herself in new troubles, he can return to his peaceful and solitary existence.
