Description

The Jabra Evolve2 65 is a wireless stereo headset that offers USB-A and Bluetooth connectivity. The Jabra Evolve2 65 MS is certified for use with Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams. One issue we encountered was when trying to connect with a second device, swapping between a Windows laptop and an Android device. The process would sometimes fail despite being in range and previously paired with the only option being to restart the pairing process. So how does Jabra's Hybrid ANC work in action? Pretty good, especially when compared to the Evolve2 55 I tested. For whatever reason, the Evolve2 55 had a tough time reducing noise, even with ANC cranked all the way up in the Jabra Sound+ app. As for the 65 Flex, though, I noticed a big reduction in environmental noise the moment I put the headset on. De Evolve2 modellen met Microsoft Teams-certificering ondersteunen Microsoft Teams als een plug-and-play-ervaring. De plug-and-play-ervaring biedt de volgende voordelen: The Jabra Evolve2 65 is a Bluetooth headset designed with professional use in mind. It’s part of Jabra’s new Evolve2 range, which has seen the company re-engineer and refine its successful Evolve Series. The series features in-ear, on-ear and over-ear headsets that are compatible with the full gamut of office hardware and cater for office workers whatever their communication needs. The on-ear Evolve2 65 is the series’ mid-range option – also part of the latest generation of releases are the Evolve2 40, which is essentially the same headset as the Evolve2 65 but isn’t Bluetooth compatible, and the premium, active noise cancelling Evolve2 85. The Evolve2 85 isn’t only considerably more expensive, but it’s an over-ear rather than on-ear headset and offers active noise cancellation to cut out ambient office sound. What do you get for the money?

The Evolve2 range is the next generation of business class headsets from Jabra. Engineered to keep you on task, the new Evolve2 range offers exceptional audio, outstanding Noise Cancellation and superior comfort. It only takes 90 minutes to fully charge the device with the charging stand providing a staggering eight hours of use with a 15-minute charge. Note that there’s no ANC (active noise cancellation) with Jabra opting for passive noise cancellation (PNC) instead. The three-mic array offers superb intelligibility. Using the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 8, we could understand every word perfectly clearly, with zero hint of Bluetooth distortion. The recording was crisp and clear, with a little bit of low-frequency depth to it. Not only is the mic of solid quality, but the boom placement also helps tremendously here. Three strategically placed microphones work together with the powerful 40mm speakers and advanced digital chipset to provide outstanding audio. New memory foam ear cushions provide increased comfort and better noise isolation.

With Bluetooth 5.0 technology you can pair up to 8 devices and connect with 2 devices simultaneously. Roam your workspace and stay connected with up to 30m wireless range. The headset uses Jabra’s universal audio app, Sound+, that can be used to update the Evolve2 65 to the latest firmware (it did during our test) and has some nifty features like being able to locate your Jabra accessory and tweaking the device; there are also five EQ levels should you want to personalize your audio experience even more. If you need help then our team are available from Monday to Thursday (between 9:00am and 5:30pm GMT) and on Friday (between 9:00am and 4:30pm GMT)

Jabra Evolve2 65 - Engineered to keep you agile. Work

When it comes to workplace phone calls, dialing down on office chatter and other environmental sounds is critical. And when it comes to noise-canceling tech, the 65 Flex does a fairly decent job at cutting down on distractions. And with Jabra's Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the headset detects and cancels out unwanted frequencies, both for you and whoever you're on a call with. The general audio performance will very much depend on a number of factors but in our (very subjective) view, the Evolve2 65 delivered the goods. Conversing over the microphone was a treat and while there’s no ANC, the passive noise cancellation was very usable. The mic system is actually a three-mic MEMs array with a frequency range of 100Hz to 8kHz—more on this in the next section. The integrated BLF is visible from all angles, acting as a do-not-disturb sign and protecting your focus. Smart Sensor technology detects when the Jabra Evolve2 65 is not is use and automatically enables LED notifications. The Evolve2 65’s 40mm drivers reproduce audio very cleanly. The headset excels in the mid and upper ranges, which is where they do most of their work during calls and conversations. I had no issues making out what my colleagues were saying as we spoke over the headset. On calls, people on the other end could understand us without issue, and noted the mic’s strong clarity. Likewise, our in-ear call audio was ideal, both in terms of understanding people on the other end and also hearing just enough of ourselves to facilitate speaking at natural, lower levels.Despite claims that the headset can passively drown out surrounding noise, however, we were able to hear nearby car horns and sirens quite easily.

Jabra Evolve2 65 | Jabra Support

The Jabra Sound+ app (available for iPhone/iPad and Android) is an incredible companion app that goes hand-in-hand with the Evolve2 Series, but I already wrote about it in my review of the Jabra Evolve2 55. This time around, I decided to take the desktop software, Jabra Direct for macOS, for a spin instead, and I'm pleased to report that it's just as robust and intuitive as the mobile app.
