The story went in directions I wasn't expecting, but I loved seeing how these characters grew throughout. I also loved getting to see the customs and culture of the other side of the island, and meeting so many new characters. I enjoyed seeing the differences and similarities of the Breccans and Tamerlaines. Whatever A River Enchanted had, A Fire Endless has that only its MORE. It is more romantic, more adventurous, more heartfelt and has a plot that just expands deeper with each chapter. Especially since they couldn't communicate for some of book one and now again, they were shoved apart and I was quite grumpy about to be honest.The tide receded with a whisper.
