Description

The Hisense 55A6BGTUK does not feature QLED ( Quantum Dot LED) technology. QLED displays use quantum dot nanocrystals to enhance color reproduction and brightness. They offer vibrant, accurate colors, high brightness levels, and improved viewing angles. While the Hisense 55A6BGTUK may not have QLED technology, it still provides impressive picture quality with its 4K UHD resolution and HDR support. Ambient Mode There are several settings and processor modes that you can use to try to find a balance that works but, ultimately, none of them fully solve the underlying problem. It’s a shame because there are some good things about this TV’s picture performance. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits) Colours are provided by a Quantum Dot system that claims to deliver a billion colours, and the panel is 120Hz rather than 60Hz (in fact, 144Hz PC game feeds are supported). You can get the maximum benefit from this panel courtesy of two of its four HDMIs supporting 4K/120Hz feeds from the latest consoles and PC graphics cards.

It’s worth noting that the Hisense 55A6BGTUK is a 4K UHD TV and does not support 8K resolution. 8K resolution offers an even higher pixel density, resulting in incredibly detailed images. However, as 8K content is still limited and not widely available, most consumers will find the 4K resolution of the Hisense 55A6BGTUK more than sufficient for their viewing needs. HDR Technology Switch to standard-def content from the built-in tuner and the Hisense copes much better, largely because the higher frame rate of the signal requires less processing from the TV, and the motion smearing issue is almost gone. What’s more, this model has a Game Mode function. This mode significantly reduces input lag, and blur for clearer, fluid scenes. Boost your chances of winning and enjoy a more exciting gaming experience. Family EntertainmentThere’s some careful shading of these parts of the picture and some decent light and dark detail. The depth and solidity to the image is enhanced by the Dolby Vision Dark picture mode, which gives added subtlety to Dolby Vision content. With its trim, gleaming, faux metallic screen frame, the E7K manages to look like a proper mid-range TV rather than a budget TV with delusions of grandeur. Its simple metal feet look a little basic compared with the rest of the design, perhaps, but if you’re viewing the TV head on they’re so narrow that you hardly notice them, continuing the theme of keeping the hardware to a minimum so you can focus on the TV’s pictures. It has a strong feature set and performs fairly well in some aspects, but the smeary motion undoes a lot of the good work the set does elsewhere. Percentage luminance drop at 20 degree vertical angle from the centre of the screen with 100% white output To learn about how Hisense protects and handles your Personal Data and other information when you use the Smart Services, visit our Data Protection Policy (available at your Device first setup process or go to “Home” screen, select “Settings”, select “Support”).

Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying a live scene and white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits) Rounding out the 55E7K Pro’s promising array of talents is the seventh generation of Hisense’s own VIDAA smart system. This now covers all of the main video streaming services most people will need, with Freeview Play on hand so that UK owners can benefit from the handy umbrella interface it provides for the catch-up services of the country’s main terrestrial broadcasters. Color performance is excellent, and in line with the similarly impressive range and accuracy from the Hisense U6H and U8H. The above charts show the U8H’s color levels in Filmmaker mode with an SDR signal compared against Rec.709 broadcast standards, and with an HDR signal compared against DCI-P3 digital cinema standards. SDR colors are nearly perfect, with greens just a touch oversaturated. Magentas and yellows also run just slightly warm, but not to a significant degree. HDR colors cover almost the entire DCI-P3 color space. Greens fall just slightly short, while cyans and magentas skew a bit green and red respectively. In both cases, the white balance in Filmmaker Mode is just about perfect. Out of the box, the colors on the U7H are excellent, with whites that are more spot-on than the U8H but with a slightly lower color range. If you want much better input lag, you need to spend substantially more. The LG C2 and Samsung QN90B have 1.5ms and 1.4ms latency, respectively, but they can also easily cost twice as much as the U7H.Once in Game mode, the 55E7K Pro turns in a very respectable 13.2ms of input lag with 1080p feeds. This equates to less than half a frame, and only 3-4ms more than the very lowest figures in the TV world. The lag more than halves with 120Hz sources, too. The Hisense 55A6BGTUK comes equipped with Ambient Mode, which allows you to transform your TV into a functional and aesthetic digital display when you’re not actively watching content. You can display personalized content such as photos, artwork, or useful information like the weather or time. Ambient Mode enables the TV to blend seamlessly into your living space, adding a touch of style and versatility to your home decor. One Connect Box Despite Hisense’s claims of wide viewing angle support for the 55E7K Pro, we still find that contrast reduces and colour errors increase when we watch the TV from any more than around 25 degrees off-axis. We may need to comply with the lawful interception and/or data retention requirements of local law enforcement agencies from time to time. We may restrict access to any part of the Smart Services and the Device or terminate your access to the Smart Services, at any time in our sole discretion if required by law or by the relevant authorities or regulatory agencies to do so.The Hisense 55A6BGTUK boasts a 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) resolution, providing stunning clarity and sharpness. With four times the number of pixels compared to Full HD, the 4K resolution ensures a more detailed and lifelike viewing experience. Fine details in movies, TV shows, and games are vividly reproduced, delivering an immersive visual feast. 8K Resolution Hisense has since released a firmware update which is said to fix this compatibility problem, though we were unable to test it out during our review period.

Gamers, again, will be delighted to hear that as with Hisense’s U8 and U7 Mini LED TVs for 2023, the 55E7K Pro provides a Dolby Vision Gaming mode, and supports Dolby Vision gaming at 4K/120Hz. Percentage Luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white outputContinuing the gaming discussion, the 55A7GQ’s HDMIs support ALLM (Automatic Low Latency Mode) switching with compatible devices (such as the Xbox Series X), and when switched into its dedicated Game picture preset the TV delivers a very respectable 14.6ms of input lag.
