They have to recall so many drugs every year. The FDA has been wholly captured by the pharma industry. Seventy to 75% of the drug approval pharma arm of the FDA comes from pharma fees, directly from the companies, so this has been corrupted for a long time. In the pre-COVID-19 world, wouldn’t inquisitive reporters chase such a story, and wouldn’t the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) pause administration of the new mystery drug until a comprehensive inquiry was complete? The story of Vioxx is not a cautionary tale; rather, it’s a regular event. A group of concerned scientists wrote about it in 2017:

Kirsch is about as “out there” a COVID-19 conspiracy theorist and antivaxxer as there is, as evidenced by his claims in Died Suddenly that “no one wants to know what’s in the vaccines” and that “no mainstream media” reporter has ever asked “what’s in the vial,” which is nonsense so pure that I really, really questioned whether I could make it through the rest of the movie. You might remember Kirsch as the tech bro who went from somewhat reasonable to full-on COVID-19 conspiracy theorist who likes to challenge his critics and the critics of any of the cranks whose ideas he amplifies to five hour “ debates,” to be recorded and posted to YouTube and Rumble. As antivax cranks have done for as long as I can remember, when real scientists ignore him or politely decline his offers, he portrays them as being too “cowardly” to “debate” him and his minions. Nobody said waning, when you know, oh this vaccine’s going to work. Oh well, maybe it’ll wear [laughs], it’ll wear off.

In fact, the existing evidence, including COVID-19 cases, deaths, and vaccination status, shows that COVID-19 vaccines aren’t associated with a greater risk of mortality. In the second year, it suddenly shifted to younger working folks. A Disaster in the MakingAmerican disability statistics are equally revealing. Every month, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics conducts surveys on disability. In the five years before COVID, the monthly disability rate was between 29 million and 30 million. Those are absolute numbers.
