Fn) button on the rear of the camera, front and rear control dials the and 4-way controller can also be customised to suit your particular way of working. Note that this distortion is something to consider when shooting with any wide-angle lens — it’s not a flaw in the Ricoh lens, which has excellent performance specs. This thoughtful composition thing is a learning curve and part of why photography is such fun. Ricoh launches RICOH GR III Street Edition Special Limited Kit

The latest firmware version (v. 1.41) allows for touch-screen activation of both focus and shutter release. In other words, you point the lens at the subject, compose the image on the screen and simply touch where you want the focus point to be and you’ve captured the image.

rubberized handgrip on the front that allows you to get a really good grip with three fingers. On the rear Image quality is absolutely fantastic. I love it. High ISO looks great, the feel of images is just incredible. GRs are tuned to be... different, in a good way. This one preserves that, while dialing up the IQ at the same time. Now, if you really liked the effect filters from the GR II, they are here except for cross process (sadly... firmware update? Ricoh is very good about improving and developing on their cameras post-launch, and they listen to users better than most, which not going so far as to compromise what they see as the core concept of the GR cameras) but they have a slightly different feel. There are a lot more parameters to change, but the GR II felt expertly tuned from default. So, what about Fuji JPEG colors? Personally, I’ve always felt that Fuji’s colors were only special in an era when most manufacturers’ JPEGs were bad. Everyone has gotten better, but Fuji can’t iterate because they’ve already given their film simulations fancy names, and people know what to expect. I think Ricoh’s Positive Film style bests Fuji’s Classic Chrome, personally. And the contrasty B&W options Ricoh makes are a lot different than the more subtle ones Fuji makes, so it’s not much of a comparison. With an old film camera, there is no choice, you have to learn and once you learn, the world is your oyster, everything that emerges, is a result of your own creativity. It’s been out for a while now but I still think it’s best at what it does compared to everything else out there. Still eyeing the GRiiix and will probably bite when they release the Diary edition for it. Pas de zoom sur l'objectif, c'est vous qui toit de bouger, mais son 28mm donne des photos assez grande angle. Pour moi l'absence de flash intégré n'est pas une problème car je n'utilise jamais la flash pour mes photos. Full creative control over exposure is available, the ISO range is 100-102400, there's a 3-inch touchscreen LCD with 1.04-million-dot resolution, contrast and phase-detection Hybrid AF system, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, single SD memory card slot and 2Gb built-in memory. Some elements come into play before even taking a shot, like the very fast 0.8-second startup time and Snap Focus. This isn’t a rapid-fire shooter, given it maxes out at 4 frames per second in burst, nor can you articulate it easily because the screen is fixed into the body. And because the screen is not especially bright by default, you may have to brighten it in certain conditions to see what you’re doing, which ultimately affects battery life. The GR III might look very similar, but it's a significant update over the GR and GR II. Find out more about what's new.The rear screen is sharp and bright enough in most situations and is touch-activated — a feature that can be switched off. The touch functionality supports menu scrolling, swiping through the images for review, and can be used to select focus points. Product would have had five stars if it wasn't for a notorious problem with dust and no easy way to clean dust from a fixed lens camera. Aside from that, the camera deserves six. the Image Control, Focus, Exposure Metering, File Format and Outdoor View settings. Even better, the Adj. menu is mobile device or computer. The Bluetooth connection creates a constant, low-power connection between the GR III and a smartphone/tablet to transfer images and video even when it's in Sleep Mode. In summary, I am really enjoying the images from this camera, as well as the whole experience of using it. It’s portability, paired with stellar image quality and versatility have made it my new everyday carry. I love it! The Chase What’s great
