Description

Deerclops is a pre-Hardmode boss, encountered in the Snow biome at midnight during a Blizzard if at least one player in the world has either at least 9 defense or 200 health, or by summoning it using a Deer Thing in the Snow biome. It will not spawn naturally if there are NPCs too close to the player. Fighting the Deerclops is required for game progression, and defeating it rewards the player with coins and other useful items. Night Vision is essential , but the cutting edge generation of night vision can cost as much as a decent vehicle. These goggles are single power (1X), which means that they don’t magnify your view. Single power ensures that you won’t lose your depth perception. It won’t’ take much practice, before you’ll be able to navigate in total darkness, as easily as you do during the day. If the player is more than 30 tiles away, the Deerclops will turn a dark shade purple, two reddish, semi transparent Deerclops' will begin spinning around it, and it becomes immune to all damage.

These are pretty good and have a very decent viewing range. On normal power you can’t see the IR lights on Hi-power, you see a creepy red ring of lights. Deerclops' boss health bar will disappear from the screen when suitably far enough away from it that the boss fight is not active.

When the illuminator is activated, it will light up your surroundings almost like it’s broad daylight (ok, green-scale daylight, but you know what I mean).

These “toys” have IR illuminators and work in pitch darkness.to see a picture of the yokai and figure out what it is. Like is seems like "Doki" is terrorpotta. Some can be frustrating though, like I don't see "riddled sword" on the yokai list with the pictures. Between the versions 1.4.3 and 1.4.3.6, there was an NPC named DeerclopsLeg in the files which did not actually appear during the fight. It was invincible [1] and had its own AI [2]. It was removed in the 1.4.4 update. As for the yokai that appear there I'm sure there must be a japanese resource we can use but I don't know how to find that info. I can say that I know you can get rare yokai like Statiking, Swelterrier, Auntie heart, and Count Cavity in there if you go deep enough. https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/File:Deerclops_scream_0.wav https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/File:Deerclops_scream_1.wav https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/File:Deerclops_scream_2.wav The Deerclops Eyeball is a pet-summoning item that has a 25*1/4 (25%) chance of dropping from the Deerclops in Master Mode. It summons a Tiny Deerclops that will follow the player around. If it is too far away from the player, a bird will carry it by its horn to continue following the player.

Finding inexpensive Night Vision can be challenging, but through my research I discovered that night vision toys use real night vision technology.

Since I'm playing Bony Spirits (~100 hours), I need to ask for the locations of the Fleshy Souls exclusive Yo-ka including SV Sn@ggerjag [[[Done]]] I found 2 of them and tested them out. Both of these listed use some minor magnification, but with practice I was able to walk around with them. Wydeawake - Downtown, in the alley behind curry house and whatnots. Evolve into Allnyte via fusion with Hidabat. It does play with your perspective and depth perception (some minor magnification and small viewing area) so I’d be very careful about walking in these (practice makes perfect).
