With all of the great features and hardware, you would think they would take care of some of these details. Inch IPS Display: Eonon Volkswagen SEAT SkodaAndroid car radiofeatures a9”display with 1280*720 resolution. Most notably, capacities were all in metric without the ability to change them making them kind of useless, fuel level was labeled "Oil Level", parking brake status was mislabeled (not that I really cared on that). Unit operates pretty smoothly without any lag so far and it appears to receive system updates from Eonon as well which is a bonus. Yeah, all that makes perfect sense being that it's essentially an Android tablet and mileage will vary with different use cases.

Integration with the car has been really great, with the last one I had even connecting to the CAN gateway to show zero faults and reporting a fake VW PN. Outside of the functionality which beats most factory headunits (I would and have taken an MIB2 over any Android based head unit that I have had though), the biggest issue that I have had is the screens. Also having the ability to run RetroArch in the car on my lunch break to play Double Dragon or something will be pretty rad too. That said, there is a bit of Chinglish and potentially useful information that gets incorrectly displayed.Will have to play around with the themes when I get a chance as there are 3 others pre-loaded and it will accept custom themes on top of those. I had the RCD330 no name model in my mk5 GTI and thought it was fine but it had cold start issues and could never seem to handle loud volumes, resulting in constant reboots. It does mention that it works with the Fender systems but I definitely want to check first since the car came with Dynaudio. Voice button works for sure, tested it out today with a few phone, music and maps commands but I couldn't hear the voice assistant when I press the button.

You'll also need to get a sim card with data plan or hotspot your phone to the radio for live maps etc. The nice thing is that a really good camera with factory type mount is way cheaper than the factory stuff. From the looks of the Eonon site, they still have those issues, even though they changed some of the labels.I have a rebranded older model; my intention was to run OBDeleven or VCDS dongles to it and be able to log/monitor from the head unit. Other than the splash screen, the hardware and the software is the same as those from other sources (*In my experience, thing may have change, although I doubt it).
