I have been looking for a feature length film of "Barney" for a while now. I had already bought "Barney's Great Adventure" and that was a great film. My daughter loved this so much, I had to buy the Land of Make Believe as well. Since purchasing, she has watched it constantly and never seems to get tired of it. It is a new story, never seen on TV before. Although I did hear a lot of the usual songs from Barney, which was good for my daughter, as she already knows the words and could sing along. For monetary reasons, the crew decided to hire local talent as opposed to having the regular cast of children from Barney & Friends, although talks about bringing some did occur. A running gag throughout this video occurs when Barney, Baby Bop, and BJ are mistaken for dragons, only to state that they are dinosaurs. A promo showcasing new Barney merchandise including dolls and toys was briefly seen during a portion of the end credits on the VHS release.
