It's a hell of a pre-credits hammer-blow, not just setting the tone but almost making the antics of the rest of the film positively tame by comparison.

Sadly, there's not a filmmakers' commentary track, but that oversight is more than offset by the wealth of bonus material included on the second blu-ray disc. Babylon's 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray enjoys a suitably vibrant High Definition 3D surround sound immersive audio track in the form of Atmos, adding to the frenetic experience by utterly engulfing you in a wild world. Those who are bothered by notably graphic sexual content and nudity that goes far beyond what we often see in theatrical films with plenty of drug use and some unsettling violence accompanying it may want to skip this one, but for those of you that aren’t bothered by such things (or the 3 plus hour runtime) ‘Babylon’ is recommended. A cinematic feat that leaves you in a perpetual state of amazement and wonder of how the film was even pulled off.
