The Smart Girl: She references many aspects of game theory, including zero sum games and the prisoner's dilemma , in her speeches. I Hate Past Me: To an extreme degree, with the manga showing it to be her primary motivation for adopting the Celestia Ludenburg persona and for wanting to become a renowned gambler and eventual castle-owning multi-millionaire. Everything about Taeko Yasuhiro is plain and powerless and even her ultimate talent is a passive one, so Celestia was created as a means of escapism from all that. Spanner in the Works: She provided crucial testimony in the second trial because she happened to be in the storeroom at night and met Chihiro there, becoming the last person to see him before the murder. In Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, she admits that if Hifumi were reincarnated as a handsome vampire, she'd let him join her harem of vampire boys. The complete roulette wheel base is beautiful, very nicely detailed and coloured. I found no defects on mine. I think this roulette would even have been playable like a real one, if not for the absence of the numbers on the wheel. XD Celestia's outfit is a Gothic lolita dress, and nothing was spared for the design. Her dress is very detailed - from the frills of her blouse and sleeves down to the skirt. The lace, similar to her bonnet, is shaded with hints of purple on the white. The skirt is voluminous and coloured a lighter shade than the coat. The only inconsistency in this figure is probably the purple paint over the flower-patterned lace, some of which are lighter and others darker. It is rather unfortunate about the magazines, but still... I do believe our lives will improve significantly thanks to this little hideaway."In an alternate, non-canon story where Makoto Naegi found an escape switch and ended up saving the life of Mukuro Ikusaba at cost of his health, Monokuma's games were thrown off the rails and as a result, Celestia managed to keep the hope within her to stay with her friends instead of sacrificing them for her selfish dream, helping them to face the mastermind Junko Enoshima. As a result, she would survive the High School of Mutual Killing and escape Hope Peak's Academy with the other students.

Because you're stupid. And in that regard, I made the right choice. I'm so glad your stupidity surpassed my every expectation. Life must have been tough on your parents, though." Defrosting Ice Queen: While she never drops her facade in the main story even into death, School Mode has her admitting that she rarely speaks so openly or honestly when the player chooses a good dialogue option, and it surprises her. Adding to that, her Trigger Happy Heart event has her showing the ever-so-slightest hint of genuine vulnerability when she internally worries about ruining her friendship with Makoto by asking him to be her knight. Fully knowing that his loyalty is real, her School Mode ending sees her officially appointing him as knight, which he accepts as graciously as he can.Formal Characters Use Keigo: Undoubtedly to fit the Victorian-esque image that comes along with her Elegant Gothic Lolita getup. The English localization instead gave her a faux-French accent. When you realize the kind of person she wants to reincarnate into in the second life... The top flap of the box has the shiny yellow Academy crest, and I thought this part was also done very nicely. Graceful Loser: Though that might be a lie. She still owes up to her real name and Alter Ego's hiding place once she finally gives up, however, as an attempt to invoke this. Also she didn't even bother in cursing on Makoto for defeating and exposing her, which would've been in-line with her true, snappy self and selfish desires and motives. We simply have to make the best of things—do our best to get along and live here together in peace. Forget about the outside world, and accept this new life. That is the only hope we have now. Here we have every convenience. We have food, clothes, our every need is seen to. Why are you dissatisfied? In fact, let me ask you this? What is it about the outside world that you long for? Competition, discrimination, victimization and violence... As society grows, so does its perversion. In which case, is our current situation not—" Subverted in the main story. She takes Aoi to the girls' bathroom when she feels ill after discovering Hifumi's body, but this is part of her plan to help Hifumi escape.

During her school years, she wore dark-hued panties. The tulle lace is of a regal quality, giving off the distinct vibe of a queen. Supposedly a C-rank human cannot stand gazing upon them, likely due to the fact that she considers them a lower status of even her fine clothing. Dark Is Evil: Her gothic getup, red eyes, and coldly polite mannerisms give off a very unsettling vibe. And ultimately, she ends up the mastermind of the deaths of two people. You have no tears, do you? No blood in your veins, no calcium in your bones. At least you have your meat..."Celeste: (to Makoto) There is no shame in being wrong. Nobody expects much from you, anyway. We have all accepted the fact that you rarely understand what is going on around you. Celestia states that her dream is to live in an opulent castle and be waited on by handsome young men dressed as vampires. Life here would be that much nicer if he could add some new issues once in a while. How disappointing." Never My Fault: She cites her plan failing as due to Hifumi's ineptitude. Hifumi did make some screwups, such as deciding that the perfect disguise was a Transformers cosplay when Celestia only requested something that would disgiuse one's face and posture, and making it both impossible for the wearer to move in or off/put on themselves, but the whole overcomplicated plan was Celestia's in the first place, Hifumi followed it to the letter, and she's the one who slipped up verbally. The plan's failure was as much if not more due to Celestia's ineptitude.
