Description

The Star Trek Limited Edition Monopoly board game was produced by USAopoly, debuted in 2000, and was the second of four Star Trek-themed Monopoly games produced by the company. The game was designed by Charles Darrow, who initially developed it as a homemade game before securing a licensing deal with Parker Brothers. You can personalize the game to suit your party or Star Trek knowledge by playing by the rules, adding in more, or ignoring them altogether and making up your own, which I like to do a lot. We even once turned it into a drinking game which was great fun. Key Features Mine looked a 1,000 times better than any of the 'official' versions out there because I'd altered the board and pieces to make it into a game of Monopoly set in the Star Trek universe, instead of a game of Monopoly with a couple of Star Trek pictures. The compact game makes it easy to transport and take along to your next game night. Adjustable Difficulty Levels

Roll on a few years and some genius decided that it'd be a good idea to start selling more versions of Monopoly. When you sat down and thought about it, there are loads of other things that can be adapted to fit a Monopoly board. The problem with a lot (actually, all) of them is that the designers didn't change the game board much at all. The picture in the middle of the board changed, sure, but the bit where the game pieces went round looked almost identical. The corner pieces were exactly the same and ruined the whole experience.amusingly, in the instructions it states 'in the unlikely event that fewer than 4 versions of Star Trek Monopoly are produced, game play via wormhole may occur in fewer than the intended 4 quadrents'.)

This game certainly took me on a journey through another galaxy as we embarked on a voyage through intergalactic dimensions and interstellar escapades. From the moment this game arrived, I knew it was my time to shine and put my Trekkie knowledge to use. Hello, Yes I do. I have a Brand New In Box, with certificate of authenticity, collector's plate of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701. It is part of the "Star Trek: The Voyagers" plate collection series. It is one of a limited edition of only 28 firing days. It is from 1993. The chess set is made from a hard-wearing acrylic material that’s easy to clean and will last a lifetime with the proper care. Key Features Price: I was impressed with this game’s quality and quantity of parts. There was a lot for the money. The final two versions, sadly, were never released. But still, at least I can kind of get the intended wormhole action to work to work between the two boards I have. The game was designed to allow play alongside other Trek Monopoly games that USAopoly had produced earlier, but just one other edition, the Star Trek: The Next Generation Collector's Edition Monopoly game, was compatible in the end. Dated: This is aimed more at the die-hard, old-school fans. There’s not much in there, including the newer Star Trek material. collectible pewter tokens including: Vulcan Harp, Phaser, Communicator, Klingon Blood Wine Goblet, Shuttlecraft, Captain’s Chair It was a controversial decision, but the set was so well executed and designed that I couldn’t include it in my list of the best Star Trek board games. With the ability to command starships, unleash powerful weapons, and outmaneuver opponents, you’re on a thrilling voyage of tactical gameplay and exhilarating adventure. Usability
