Collins was/is probably one of the busiest musicians that ever lived. Suppers Ready needs no explanation of "What it's about" listen to it & what you get from it, well, that's what it's about. MY OPINION : it's a love song, a biblical battle, with Gabriel's English absurd humor to top it off "As sure as eggs is eggs" Above all else an egg is an egg. "And did those feet...", making ends meet. Jerusalem = place of peace.
