Perfect Serve – A creamy, zesty after-dinner drink, Bottega Limoncino Crema Liqueur is a luscious digestif to sip ice cold after a meal.

Made using fresh and zesty Italian lemons, Bottega Limoncino Limoncello Liqueur is a traditional liqueur that backdates to the nineteenth century. With the Alexander and Bottega brands, Rosina Zambon Bottega, known to most as Rosy, helped introduce grappa to variouscelebrities around the world to help build trends and influence consumer habits. Fresh Food is packed in an insulated bag with a cool pack guaranteed to keep produce cool for 48 hours. Ten years later, in 1977, they founded Distilleria Bottega, giving their name to a business that absorbed them both completely. Besides wineries, it’s also produced at home, and if the basic recipe is the same, the timings vary from family to family, like any self-respecting local tradition.

Perfect served as an addition to an aperitif, excellent as an after dinner drink, it also goes well with ice-creams, sorbets and fresh fruit salads.

After removing all the peel, dip it in alcohol, cover the jar with a ceramic pot and let it stand in a cool, dark place for seven days. The creamy mouthfeel, citrusy aromatics and balanced flavour profile is a tribute to Bottega’s artistry. It is very sensitive to the cold, but quite resistant to high temperatures, it is capable of providing constant production. Bottega is one of my favourite drinks brands, particularly their flavoured grappa, so was keen to try their limoncello and wasn’t disappointed - I freeze it for 30 mins max before drinking and it’s so refreshing! After a slow process of extraction of aromatic substances and dyes, the liquid is separated from the skins. Rosina Zambon was a strong-willed and enterprising lady, she was born in Arborea in Sardinia, the daughter of Venetian immigrants who had settled on the island in the 1930's following the land reclamation projects of the Facist era. Family run high end vineyard and lemon farm in the Monferrato Hills, in the Italian region of Piemonte. All of them together, over the years, have contributed to the firm's constant and progressive growth, transforming Distilleria Bottega into a sturdy business of outstanding quality and innovation.
