I found some repetition of dialogue unnecessary and lazy, it changed the flow of the story when the characters began sharing their thoughts and feelings with each other which just echoed the earlier narrative pretty much verbatim. She even has an interview for the department director position, so she can take on an even bigger role in the museum. It has hilarious moments, adorable romance and so many tropes I love alongside discussions of important topics.Meyer has struggled to find a love companion because of the grief over Hazels mom and the anxiety of becoming a single dad from the moment his daughter was born. Also, you’re saying I should include more of that ‘ Awful Offal’ in my set, so she can go back to hanging with us all the time? Meyer is a retired comedian with a huge following and star power of his own, and the two of them can’t deny that it’s a good idea.

His scowl should make me want to run in the other direction, but when I catch him smothering a smile around me, it makes me want to get to know him more. The love is so respectful and kind and there's always a safe place to fall, and I love that more than I can say. And I loved how Meyer was kind of pining the whole time for Farley and his character was just THE BEST. While they are fictional characters, I found them to be incredibly relatable, realistic, and authentic. If you are looking for a book with friends to lovers, fake dating, dual POV, grumpy x sunshine and so much more then I think Funny Feelings might be the book for you.It’s funny and real and a great way to see two people who thought it was never going to happen between them finally get there.

So, I've had this book on my TBR for a while, and honestly I don't even know if I ever knew what it was about or if it was the cover that drew me in.Don’t get me wrong - it was super cute and sweet… but I didn’t realize going into this book that it would be a duel timeline (which I’m never a fan of ) with multiple missed chances and years of both of them secretly pining after each other… only to be followed up by fake dating which finally gives them the opportunity to act how they both always wanted to.
