Description

Told across key years in the lives of the same family over three generations, Susan Clegg’s The Dolphin is a book which catches you unaware, giving its secrets up carefully in a manner which reflects how closely they are guarded by those who keep them. So whether from a nasty “bump” against the Penguin or some other ship’s perhaps barnacled hull, or if someone really did shoot at the dolphin, isn’t clear. Given the intelligence of many dolphins, it is not unlikely that if someone from one of the ships really did take a shot at him, he may well really have avoided that ship, and ships that looked like it, from then on. We reported earlier this week how a pod of bottlenose dolphins was spotted by wildlife lovers at the mouth of the River Tyne. icon-home» About the Bible» Going Deeper» Biblically Wild» The Dolphin/porpoise – תַּ֫ח... What’s beautiful though is the compassion that runs through the book. Rosemary may be deeply unlikeable as she throws around her poison and inflicts trauma on the next generation, but we see the sadness of her life. Clegg resists the temptation to condemn her. As for the shark, your target is a Whitetip Reefshark. The shark is located on the right side of Blue Hole, and is roughly around 30-50m down. From the above list (which is not by any means exhaustive), we can see that the tachashhas been associated with a number of animals that include; goats, badgers, seals, and porpoise. Although dolphin does not appear in this list, I have used it in this post as it is the reading recommended by the United Bible Societies (1980:22-23).
