The new 220 page version of Destination NC500 guidebook is the most in-depth, relatable, and picturesque guidebook on the market. The structure of the book makes it easy to follow and create your own ideas of where to visit and how to spend your time on the route.

As my husband came from theNW Highlands we have travelled the Wesr coast since 1973 when the roads especially the pass of the cattle and Docherty pass were very very narrow and the drivers were more respectful. It arrived just before Christmas beautifully wrapped in brown paper and string with a personal note which made it extra special.

We bought our van in November 2021 after many months of contemplation and started to follow highlands2hammocks for some trip inspiration – I bought your book for my husband for Christmas and we are now planning our first significant trip north to do the NC500! We have driven all the coast of Scotland in a car as well as a motorvan and wish that many drivers were not in such a hurry to get to the next stop or park in passing places.

Even if we do not make it to all your discovered and recommened places, we have them in a book to find next time. I’ve spent my adult life exploring Scotland and have it pretty well covered, I can’t wait to explore lots more new places that I may never have discovered without this book, all the hidden gems are inside. I have been to Sutherland and and stayed at Kylesku 3 times and explored some of the surrounding areas but want to explore more I thought there guide would be of great help and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. I read the book from cover to cover before setting off and could not wait to explore Scotland using the book as a daily guide. The only one that comes close is the book Photographing Scotland but that’s not specific to the NC500.
