Once again, Taylor is really clever with some of the twists and plot-points, like the way that the virus ultimately goes universal. I did like The Seven Secrets (essentially creator owned) I think a few more issues would have helped with developing the story. Soranik recovered, but Supergirl was attacking Sinestro long enough for Darkseid to grab him and easily kill him. The "DCeased" series has always been a solid one to me, and I have loved that within all the zombies and death in these stories, there was always heart, emotion, and an amazing understanding of DC lore, and this final entry in the series was just more the same. The magic he has created in the DCeased series is one that any comic collector who started in the 1970s loves to read.

Damian wearing the pure white Batman costume that Jon gifted him was a great way to symbolize how far he has come and the sacrifice he was going to make. I just wish that the final villain was something that was a real threat that we were following from the beginning. It's very much an homage to the "kill the head vampire/zombie" resolution of many movies and movie series, but here it just weakens the series as a whole. I loved every moment of it, but the ending hits so hard like you see it coming and you know how it will go but the way he gives such an awesome moment to that one character and it will make you a bit sad and feel for them considering their whole history and the mantle they inherited, it makes sense but maybe thats the emotional stand point of this story and why you will love it. As time passes Alfred uses his Spectre powers to visit the new universe Damian created and reflects on how he misses his sons.Also Erebos as the main villain behind it was such a great reveal and makes sense, and something new to DCU and his design in the last issue is scary and he is literally GOD - god of darkness (the great darkness? What began as a battle for Earth has become a war for the galaxy in the epic final installment in the massive DCeased storyline!
