We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. In the entire solar system Earth is the only planet that has water in its liquid form in such quantities. An extraordinary adventure of magic and generosity, and a beautifully simple tale of selfishness and sacrifice, The Story of the Blue Planet will delight and challenge readers of every age.

Lonely Planet Kids educates and encourages young readers at home and in school to learn about the world with engaging books on culture, sociology, geography, nature, history, space and more. Today while we still have so much more of the ocean realm to uncover we have discovered enough to know that beneath the waves lies a vast treasure-trove of rich and diverse life. DVD; Run time 98 minutes; in original plastic case; with extra materials; Originally produced as a television mini-series in 2002.The Story of the Blue Planet – now published or performed in 22 countries – was the first children’s book to receive the Icelandic Literary Prize and was also the recipient of the Janusz Korczak Honorary Award and the West Nordic Children’s Book Prize. All tickets are valid for one day and we welcome visitors to come and go throughout the day to make the most of your visit. Already excited looking at the super images and the totally breathtaking shots this book has captured the moments wonderfully. Received my book today, it’s a present and unfortunately is covered in marks as shown in photos attached !

A great supplement to the DVDs, this book is filled with great photos and innumerable fascinating facts about the ocean. Blue Planet II, which accompanies the epic BBC 7-part series, is a ground-breaking new look at the richness and variety of underwater life across our planet. That has hardly been proven correct, but it has until recently almost been confined to cinema - you barely got a TV series worthy of a numbered sequel, and never in the world of non-fiction. Trading Address (Warehouse) Unit E, Vulcan Business Complex, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EB.

I bought it as a gift to give at christmas time, however, I actually decided to keep it for myself after thumbing through the first couple of chapters. The story the book tells is so momentous that much of the scientific background has to be condensed. This beautifully illustrated book introduces children to the animals that live in the world’s waters. We also offer selected days for our autistic guests with fewer visitor numbers to ensure lower noise levels and allow young explorers increased movement around our exhibits. Littered with beautiful photography it takes you around the seas, out into the oceans and deep down where sunlight cannot reach.
