Morrisons is making sure Christmas 2023 is the ulti-mutt celebration for pets as it unveils its biggest festive pet range to date.

Cheerful-looking, festive crackers, but they seem to contain the same novelty gifts and jokes as the brands from Lidl and Dobbies . There’s a joke and trivia fact in each cracker along the lines of: “Which animal should you never play cards with? This means all Morrisons cards, crackers, wrapping paper, present bags, flowers, plants and wreaths are now 100 per cent glitter-free.There is a joke, fact and trivia combo inside with the joke level as “What did Tarzan sing at Christmas time? Prizes include a paper tape measure, bottle opener, mini magic playing cards, tweezers and a metal clip book marker. The gold hat is sturdy enough to last all Christmas Day while the novelty gifts range from a mirror and pen to bottle opener and measuring spoons.

The Morrisons supermarket Christmas cracker has triumphed in a Telegraph test, thanks to a loud bang and a joke that might even provoke laughter rather than groans. Who would have thought that a simple combination of saltine crackers, butter, and brown sugar and chocolate chips could create such a delicious dessert? There’s also a dingbat, charade suggestion and trivia as well as jokes like: “Why does Santa have three gardens? THE cheapest we tested, which is reflected in the prizes – all of which are paper and cardboard but still a little more imaginative than most. Costing just 50p per cracker, it packs an ear-splitting bang, "classic" hats and toys and a joke so "funny" that Nicholas Parsons, the venerable host of Radio 4's Just a Minute, is now threatening to use it in public: "Dad, there is a man at the door collecting for the new swimming pool.Whether you enjoy it year-round or dress it up with festive sprinkles for the holidays, Christmas Crack is sure to steal the spotlight on your cookie plate! Whilst we liked the idea of the Christmas bingo game, we felt the Tesco crackers were very expensive and fiddly. TOTALLY recyclable and they look the part on the dinner table with golden writing and they all have a golden crown. This means that we’re now 100 per cent glitter free across all our own brand ranges which is an important step in the fight against plastic pollution. They feel more expensive than they are with a paper hat, two decent jokes inside and some Christmas stickers that kids will love.
