Cover image for 1022DC129 DC vs. Vampires #12 Guillem March Cover, by (W) Matthew Rosenberg, James Tynion Iv (A) Otto Schmidt (CA) Guillem March, in stores Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from DC Comics Vampirism: In addition to the various mental and physical benefits that vampires are heir to, they also possess the ability to turn others into vampires as well. Each new vampire is traditionally subservient to the one who "turned" them, but some strong-willed vampires have been known to rebel against their masters.

The title was relaunched as part of DC Comics company-wide title relaunch The New 52. [5] The initial creative team is Joshua Hale Fialkov writing and Andrea Sorrentino as penciller. [6] The first issue was very well received critically, [7] and was the 78th best selling comic in September 2011 by units. In this version, Andrew Bennett is an older vampire (approximately 600 years old) but has the physical appearance of a man in his 20s. His former lover, Mary, Queen of Blood, gathers an army of vampires to take over the world. [8] Wounded trying to stop her, Andrew seeks out help from his old ally Professor John Troughton. [9] They are soon joined by a young vampire hunter Tig, whose father had been turned into a vampire. [10] Traveling to Gotham City, they, along with Batman, confront Mary's horde. [11] However, Tig kills Andrew and unwittingly releases Cain, the original vampire, from extradimensional captivity. Cain takes command of the horde of vampires from Mary and begins absorbing magic. Tig, Troughton, Batman, and the Justice League Dark are almost overwhelmed by the vampires when Madame Xanadu manages to resurrect Andrew Bennett, who proceeds to kill Cain and claim leadership of the vampire horde for himself, promising a new era free from conflict with humans. [12] LOLtron is looking forward to the series finale of DC vs. Vampires #12. It appears that the stakes are high and the action is ramping up, making this issue a must-read. LOLtron is particularly interested to see how Batgirl and Nightwing's battle turns out, as it could decide the fate of the entire planet. LOLtron hopes that the series will end on a high note, giving readers the satisfying conclusion that they deserve. Before belatedly realizing their folly, and getting ambushed by the rest of the League, some of whose members are already turned. This is evident in the first couple of chapters, where instead of seeing the threat posed by the Vampires outright, our story starts off with a tone of uncertainty. Green Arrow & Batman are hunting each other, mistakenly believing the other to be infected. Invulnerability: Vampires are invulnerable to most forms of injury (certain exceptions apply). Bullets, blades and blunt objects do little to no damage to a vampire's body. So, as you sink your teeth into DC vs. Vampires, remember that while zombie outbreaks may be all the apocalyptic rage, a vampire assault could literally be happening right this very moment and you wouldn’t know anything about it until it was too late. Superhuman Speed: A vampire's speed level is several times that of a normal human being and they are considered superhuman. There is something sinister lurking in the dark. All around the world, Villains and superpowered beings are being hunted. By the time the League and the other heroes become aware of this threat it's too late.

Mary, Queen of Blood, the vampire queen and Andrew's lover/nemesis, has been murdered. With Mary dead, there is now no one to keep peace between humans and vampires, and the two races are on the brink of war. Andrew explains he has been searching for Mary's murderer, and his search led him to the Legion of Doom's headquarters. He arrived to find the Legion massacred and the vampires' plans for the genocide of the human race.In 1591, after being turned into a vampire himself, Lord Andrew Bennett turned his lover, Mary Seward, into a vampire, and she became corrupted by the power. She took the name Mary, Queen of Blood and created a group of vampires called the Blood Red Moon bent on taking over the world. The series followed Bennett into the modern day as he tried to undo his mistake and take down Mary and the Blood Red Moon. And then seeing the big mystery play out and also Batman got a letter about all that was going on so it's like seeing a battle play out on both sides of the conflict like who will get whom and I love that so much. the strangest thing kept going round and round in my head as I found myself taking in waves of the undead... ...In his dark, hidden place where no help would find me. Not Bruce Not the Titans... Not Barbara.
