This is probably due to the thickness of the plastic used for the shells not being that thick to restrict outside noise from entering. That been said, if you're into music that has more emphasis on traditional instruments (like folk derivatives), then V90 is probably a more suitable choice after all. There’re also many KZ sets like the KZ D-Fi ( D-Fi Review HERE), the CCA Duo ( Duo Review HERE), the KZ X-HBB PR2 ( PR2 Review HERE) among a few others.

The KBEAR KS1 has a slightly more accurate timbral accuracy for acoustic instruments than the BLON BL-03, which also has excellent timbre, though I find the BLON BL-03’s timbre is quite coloured and a bit tubish. Listening to a voice like Jason Isbell in the track “ Middle of the Morning“, he has a very soft and svelte sounding voice that plays to the KB01’s strengths. Though the wife has never been more unhappy with the increasing number of IEMs and earbuds in the mail. Instruments also share in this slightly tweaked sound with a hair more of a warm glaze over the sound. These isolates less than what your average IEM can, with background noise more audible than other passive isolated IEMs.Plus, the DX240 has mammoth power at almost desktop levels so it’s easy to see how well the KB01 can scale without any obvious distortion of the driver. Sensitive” by Meghan Trainor on the other hand shows how that pinna gain in the upper midrange might cause a bit of glare as well.

Truth is, I think KBear did what they could with what they were working with and per the tuning they were going for. I do understand why too, as it is having wide soundstage, and instrument are able to space out greatly too, but really dont expect too good in instrument separation, as it is still a budget IEM. From the horrible Opal (which I couldn't be bothered to review, as it should be erased from history) to the very restrictive F1, it seemed that KBEAR won't make it too far before vanishing from existance in the crowded earphones market. I guarantee no exchange has been done by both parties to influence or sway our opinions on this product.Tenors seem to have this strong and yet lack of heft especially on lyrical types while in dramatic types, it has rich and ringy sound like Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli. These tips have a narrower bore that I don’t think really helps the Storm as far as sonics are concerned. These earphones are a perfect gift for anyone, even if you’re not an audiophile or a audio engineers, musicians.
