Listen To Me is the thirteenth book in the Rizzoli and Isles series by best-selling, award-wining American author, Tess Gerritsen. The set-up for the first half was exciting, baffling, and intriguing, and I was eager to see where it was going. This part of the plot was a cross between Desperate Housewives and Scooby-Doo, but it wasn’t actually amusing, just silly. Tess Gerritsen's plotting is superb, with the story swinging back and forth enticingly between different narrators, maintaining the reader's interest throughout. All in all, Listen to Me was an excellent read and I hope the author doesn't wait so long between books next time!Aided by her partner, Barry Frost, Jane is mystified by the apparent randomness of the killing of Sofia Suarez, a beloved nurse who was a recent widow. This was a thrilling page-turner of a book by physician Tess Gerritsen, whose writing is so believable that it leaps from the page and captures you right from the beginning!

On the other side, we have a slightly annoying mother trying to solve problems in her own neighborhood and just stirring the pot. Not that this is unusual for this series, and I expect the focus of the next novel will be on Maura.Some of the more intriguing parts of the book, though, are the sections told through the eyes of the mysterious hit-and-run victim Amy. ICU director Dr Mike Antrim mentions the care she gave to his daughter, Amy, after her hit-and-run two months earlier.
