Description

Minelab has been an industry leader in manufacturing metal detectors for nearly 4 decades. They make metal detectors that are built to combat the most difficult soil conditions. Their metal detectors are all built to the highest military standards and are trusted by military units all over the globe. The control box is not fully waterproof and should not be submerged. It is, however, water resistant with the included rain cover. Remember to take caution with your detector around water as it is not waterproof and could be ruined if dropped in water. Use a strap with the arm rest to keep the detector on your arm while hunting in water, and be extra cautious in rivers and streams as the beds can be very slippery. The design of the Vanquish series is rather curious, and while it really reminds a device from some kind of videogame of the 80s, at least it does not fall apart when handled (like Go-Find does). Vanquish looks pretty solid.

Iron bias settings allow some control over the target ID response. Low iron bias will allow a natural response from the detector, meaning the target is more likely to be classified as non-ferrous. High iron bias increases the likelihood that the target is classified as iron. Caveat: As with any field test, the results reflect and are dependent upon the specific test conditions/environment, selected targets and mineralization level of the soil, sand and water. Results of similar tests conducted under different conditions can be expected to vary from those reported here.

Large: 12*9 inches Double-D if you are looking for more space to cover while swinging and more depth … But this could be in detriment of sensitivity towards small sized items. Hopefully your videos will help others in the future. I wish I had seen it before yesterday. I'm still happy with my Vanquish. It's the cheap coins that are the issue. Really hope I’ve got all your questions answered about this Machine series! If not, if you are still not sure about something specific, please let know … Minelab is an Australian manufacturer of metal detectors and accessories that has been creating leading edge technology for over 35 years. They are known for making metal detectors that can manage the most difficult soil conditions and terrains. Minelab promises the Vanquish 440 will work well on all metals in all soils all the time. Custom Find Mode allows you to save your favorite settings. Many very low frequency (VLF) metal detectors struggle in mineralized soils, wet sand, and saltwater terrains. This model does better than most in these areas because of the Multi-IQ technology. The Vanquish 440 has 12 discrimination segments to control which metals to accept or reject and allow for a customized search.

The Minelab Equinox series consists of the Equinox 600 and Equinox 800. These 2 metal detectors were the first to utilize Minelab’s Multi-IQ technology. So if you are not planning on Gold Prospection or underwater detection then any Vanquish model is probably enough … Otherwise, investing in an Equinox model is probably worth it! Reasons why you should opt for Minelab Products in general! At that, the rivals on the market are very active and they continue designing new metal detectors. For example, Turkish Nokta Simplex can successfully compete with most of modern metal detectors for beginners. The Vanquish 540 can read with confidence at a depth of 12” with the V12 search coil, and the signal is strong even in mineralized soils. The coil could read deeper in areas with lower mineralization.

SIMULTANEOUS MULTI-FREQUENCY

Minelab’s Vanquish 440 is a great entry-level metal detector with some features that are not often found on beginner metal detectors. It comes standard with Minelab’s patented Multi-IQ technology. Multi-IQ is a multiple frequency technology that allows the metal detector to operate on multiple frequencies simultaneously. For me, if you don’t really have a specific need for these kind of details, then the regular 540 is more than enough! Why Minelab has released this series? Three tones are factory set at Low, Medium and High all of which are clear and very distinguishable. Not surprisingly, I like this set up since I programmed my Equinox 800 and my CTX 3030 years ago to report 3 tones. Personally, I don’t need any more than 3 since ALL targets encountered are either low, medium or high conductors so why not align the tones accordingly? A simplified plus in my book. The coil in the kit is 10 inches DD one, and the thing has a pinpoint mode. Compared to 340 model, this one also boasts more convenient controls.

There are several reasons why I believe Minelab has decided to release the Vanquish series … And would love to share some of them with you: One of the most curious peculiarities of this Vanquish series is the Multi-IQ technology, that seems to break all the stereotypes and norms about entry-level metal detectors. And this is little surprise, really, since the competitors are literally close on the heels. Nokta Makro, for example, have developed an underwater detector with semi-automatic Ground balance – Nokta Makro Simplex – and this device is meant for beginners! One huge advantage for the Minelab Vanquish series over the competition is the ability to run on multiple frequencies simultaneously. None of the other entry level metal detectors (besides the Minelab Equinox line) feature this technology. No other entry level metal detector offers operating frequencies as high as the Vanquish series, either. The 340 is the lowest model with the fewest features, while the 540 is the highest model with most features. All the Vanquish metal detectors were made for entry level to intermediate metal detectorists, so they are user friendly and simple to master. Discrimination is not recommended when gold prospecting with a metal detector, because gold can often read on the lower end of numerical target ID, like iron. If you know you will be metal detecting in a trashy location, or a location with a lot of iron targets you are not interested in, you can use your discrimination feature to notch the unwanted metals out, while keeping the desired metals notched in.Please note all delivery costs stated below include VAT for the UK, all other destinations exclude VAT** United Kingdom - Mainland
