Description
For the Arctic Freezer at 35dBA, we see a 51-degree load temperature, putting the cooler just below the Kraken X62 while remaining significantly cheaper. What we’re saying is that this test will create an objective hierarchy, but that in all reality, a couple degrees here-and-there from the cooler won’t really matter much when considering the VRM is unlikely to melt itself in the majority of instances.
Some mention that it's easy to install and the instructions are clear, while others say that it can be a little confusing to install. The Liquid Freezer II Series features an all-new, in-house developed PWM-controlled pump with a copper base, improved efficiency, low power usage and quiet operation. Arctic’s Liquid Freezer II 360 comes in a fairly large box, with plastic and cardboard used for protection of the contents.Tänk även på att kylaren är väldigt tjock gämfört med standard 52mm denna är totalt 63mm tjock med fläktar. VRM Fan: 40 mm, 1000–3000 rpm (PWM controlled); Pump: 800–2000 rpm (PWM controlled); Power Consumption: 0,5 W – 2,7 W (Pump + VRM Fan); Cold Plate: Copper, Micro-Skived-Fins; Thermal Paste: MX-4 (0. While in the past a CPU hitting its peak temperature was cause for concern, enthusiasts are going to have to learn to accept high temperatures as “normal” while running demanding workloads with Raptor Lake and Ryzen 7000 CPUs.
While this increase in radiator thickness does, in theory, offer greater cooling capacity, it also comes with the drawback of requiring higher pressure fans to effectively flow air through the fins. We need to see how it does long-term, as Enermax has scared us away from firm recommendations on thermals alone. Only issue i had with installation was the pump mounting bracket was hitting the thermal heatshield covering my NVME drive below it so it had to be removed to get the bracket in place, it does not seem to have affected the performance of my NVME in any way. For reference, this overlay will show the baseline numbers with radiator fan measurements in the top-center spot. This doesn’t move the needle much for Arctic, which seems to top-out in its efficiency at around 1200RPM rather than its maximum 1600RPM.
Our next chart will be of the VRM fan performance, but we’ll start with the one everyone is used to. Really can't recommend this highly enough, absolute bargain vs the 150 Corsair 240mm AIO it replaced! In addition, it hides both the A-RGB and PWM cables of your radiator fans thanks to a well thought-out cable management system. This severely limits the supported orientations of the 360mm radiator as the tubing often will not flex in the direction you want it to.Check your clearance for the reassuringly thick radiator + fans if hoping to cram it into something smaller. During the development of the new P-series fans, special emphasis was placed on a focused airflow and thus a high static pressure. If it’s between this and another cooler, and you mostly have your heart set on the other one for visual or compatibility or warranty reasons, don’t let the VRM fan sway the decision. My cooler had some kind of incorrect threading on one of mounting brackets which required a large amount of force to screw in (100% sure I was using the correct screws - which both worked fine on the opposite side).
Our next chart continues with the 3950X 200W load, but allows all the coolers to run at 100% fan speed during the test. These fans were designed with an emphasis of focused airflow and high static pressure, to ensure efficient cooling even with air resistance. Even if the socket and heat-spreader are larger compared to the predecessor, the CPU surface has been reduced and remains centered. The all-in-one cooling handles the entire cooling requirements — even of the most powerful processors from Intel ® and AMD ®. A system's motherboard can also influence this, especially if the socket suffers from bending, which results in poor cooler contact with the CPU.
I run push+pull on the upper two fans and push only on the lower fan (no room in chassis), which may or may not help a bit. This allows for any air build-up to be at the top of the radiator where it wont affect the system performance and also the system runs a lot quitter without the gurgling water sounds if the inlet/outlet pipes are at mounted at the top.
