But they have added dedicated vents for extra air cross flow. So you have 4 low vents (one shown below), two in the living room and two in the sleeping area. One of the low vents. The Horizon’s boast a huge living area which has an enclosed porch area with multi use door or vent screen. The secondary door is oversized, so when open it creates one large living area giving you all the space you could ever need. And if you want even more space, there is an optional side porch available.

The inflating points are covered by zipped panels, making the outside of the tent look very neat. They also protect the valves from exposure to sun and rain. You have their Airgo Pump included, equipped with pressure gauge, pressure restrictor, aluminum shaft and inflation valve securing ring. You have two external doors, one is on the side, visible in the picture above, and as you see it has a small awning so this is a dry entry point. The door is double-layer with mesh for ventilation and a solid panel. The second (main) door is under the porch, it is incredibly wide and fully protected so this is yet another dry entry, and it is also equipped with a mesh. Materials

The single bag it comes in included the manual air pump all pegs as I've already said its big and the bag fills the boot of my ford Kuga. The nightfall bedrooms are of a good size and have plenty of vents you can open or close the are easy to fit we left them in and connected when we put the tent away remembering to leave all the doors open to let the air out . Another factor that can be a great indication of product quality is the brand. Brands like Hi-Gear are of course extremely well known, especially for Weekend Tents.

The dark gray area is an incredibly pleasant living room with windows on its three sides. On the front you have a very deep porch which is fully protected. I could describe it as yet another floorless room. This is a great space for your camping chairs and tables. So here you can cook and enjoy the views while still be fully protected from flying insects and the rain. There are three of them, adjustable and they sit at roof level between the beams of each area of the tent. Above the bedroom pod, in the living area and in the porch. They are very easy to adjust and fit, that is unless you are challenged in the height department. Don’t worry about this though as you only really need to fit them if it does get breezy as the ample guy lines and storm straps around the tent will do the business for most of the time. There’s plenty of ventilation panels around the tent, and a large zipped one that runs along the rear of the bedroom which is great for keeping that area cool. We had rain and sun, and didn’t experience any problems with condensation building up inside the tent.

We’re really pleased to have scored Hi-Gear Horizon 700 Air Nightfall Tent so highly, givimg it 8.3 out of 10, making it well above the average for all Weekend Tents. So here you have a very large camping shelter built in the tunnel shape and with an inner tent under the shell. This inner tent area includes three separate bedrooms. You can see it in the floor plan below that shows the rooms and dimensions. The floor plan and the most important dimensions. They do not provide information about the floor, but it is bathtub style and most likely polyethylene. It is fully sewn in and sealed. Note that the inner tent has yet another floor, so you have two layers of floors in the sleeping area. The Hi Gear tent range are winners of the Best Family Tent 2020 award from the Camping and Caravan Club. Price – as you’d expect the price of a product can be an instantly recognisable factor on what sort of quality you can expect. Whoever came up with the phrase “you get what you pay for” pretty much hit the nail on the head. Whilst it’s not always the case and there are many bargains to be had, you can as a general rule, expect the higher priced products to offer better quality than a the cheapest option. We’ll dive into the price of Hi-Gear Horizon 700 Air Nightfall Tent in more detail in a moment.
