The IT support team – based in a room just off reception, they can help with in-depth IT enquires and also handle IT equipment collections. At the end of the room, there is another smaller room which contain some individual study carrels as well as ‘ordinary’ study desks. We want to ensure it champions all voices, particularly those that are traditionally underrepresented in curricula and on reading lists.

It’s a quiet room – therefore no noise when in this room please, and, like other reading rooms, no food or drink in here either. We unearthed some silent footage from a 1969 library welcome video, and asked students and staff to remix it into a Halloween film trailer. IT Support provides advice and training, as well as resolving problems with the University systems and software, including the halls Residential Network. The building was built between 1907 and 1911 and the style of the architect of Main Arts can be described as Collegiate Tudor. This Careers Fair is for all students and graduates wanting to work in the fields related to Computing, Science, Engineering and Environment. During staffed service hours (see table below) our Library support team is on hand to help you with our services and facilities. The team is also responsible for maintaining and updating all student facing computing spaces to ensure that no shared computer is older than five years old.

Our unique archives and special collections include a permanent display of personal objects from Sir Alex Ferguson's life. The room also holds all items listed as “Richards reading room” when you look for books on the library catalogue.
