The whiskey has precious little in common with the 10 year old single malt we reviewed in 2015, which came across as a fruit bomb overloaded with apple notes. Its cask-selling programme is now going into its third year - and James says it has attracted a variety of buyers, from whiskey hobbyists to those hoping to eventually make a profit on their investment. Tullamore D.E.W is the smoothest Irish whiskey, in my opinion, and it’s always very well priced, which will suit those looking for a good Irish whiskey on a budget.
