Description

Gans, in his commentary included on this disc, admits he prefers the first half of the film to the second. Currently, I have in my library only this very old French Blu-ray release that StudioCanal produced in 2008.

Sebastien Prangere, the original editor of the film, reassembled the offline edit in Avid Media Composer with the grade, conform and finish completed in DaVinci Resolve Studio. A large, wolf-like creature referred to as "the Beast of Gévaudan" is blamed for a string of brutal killings. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.Director Gans went on to make the 2006 video game adaptation Silent Hill (which he is currently working on a sequel to), and a live action version of Beauty and the Beast in 2014 (starring Vincent Cassel). We reviewed the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release of Brotherhood of the Wolf on an LG 55B7 Dolby Vision 4K Ultra HD OLED TV with a Panasonic DP-UB820EB-K Dolby Vision HDR10+ 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player. Brotherhood of the Wolf, one of the most financially successful French films of all time, is a beautiful blend of elements from a half a dozen different genres, brought together perfectly under the guide of imaginative Director Christophe Gans, whose stylish excesses actually work wonders for this cross-bred hybrid. The first half keeps things simple and this works in its favour, because the film, in essence, is something best appreciated at surface value.

The film’s flightiness across genres is evident of Gans talent, which I gather may be because of his deep understanding how each genre element he uses should look and feel. There are three standard audio tracks on this Blu-ray release: French Dolby Atmos, German DTS-HD Master Audio 5. The ultimate multi-genre blend, Christophe Gans 2001 period murder mystery action horror thriller - with Mark Dacascos and martial arts - is one of the great underrated gems from the last quarter-Century.Previously known for his live-action adaptation of Crying Freeman, Gans continued the momentum, adapting a story based on the Beast of Gévaudan.

For the very first time, fluidity is as good as it needs to be, so all of the action footage where the camera moves fast and chooses many different angles to capture the rapid kicks and jumps looks sensational. Yes, most of the material has been available elsewhere but, to the best of my knowledge, we’ve never had a UK release with anywhere near this amount of supplements. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. You can see how Émilie Dequenne's beautiful red dress is modified if you compare this screencapture from the old master and this screencapture from the new 4K makeover. Compared to Scream Factor’s previous Blu-ray and the other discs that navigated the globe over the years, Studiocanal’s new 4K restoration didn’t have much to compete against.Starring Samuel Le Bihan, Vincent Cassel, Monica Bellucci, Émilie Dequenne, Mark Dacascos, Jérémie Renier, and Jacques Perrin.
