There is a similarity in the bases, however, and the longer they dry down the more similar they become with Sun 30th leaning woody and Sun leaning amber. The opening is the least gracious part, reminds me of the caugh syrup I hated when I was a child; sweet, sticky, chemical, nasty stuf.

A powdery complex scent with hits of old-style sunscreen (probably the ylang-ylang), which doesn't smell exactly the same every time I smell it. They have orris root in common but I doubt is that because it's like an animalic note that bothers me. Sun is of course reminiscent of suntan lotion, but it's more than that, there are so many facets to it. I really never knew what "had to scrub it off" meant because no scent has ever made me SO nauseous I would've needed to get rid of it.

Now, 2019, I suddenly remembered the ads in fashion magazines when I was eleven years old which made me long for summer, sunny weather, glowing skin, shorts, summer dresses, hot summer nights and dinners with my girlfriends. It’s a favorite and I carry it with me as there’s really no sharp edge to it, but it’s also not childishly sweet. If I shove my nose to my wrist, I can make out the “plastic-y” quality that’s supposedly the benzoin… but it’s not particularly off-putting or noticeable. To me it smells more like a powdery sunscreen, and however sunny and beachy that sounds, I really like wearing Sun in cold weather too.It gives a wonderful feeling, it feels like warm sunshine on your body with a specially but a so good smelling sun lotion!
