Lightweight Leaf Blower The Von Haus modelis a 3000-watt garden vacuum with an integral mulcher and leaf blower. Von Haus is a good brand and it performed all the various functions well despite having no power adjustment.

No Assembly Required Many might consider the 35L collection bag to be a bit on the small side but that is part of what makes this such a nifty and manageable garden tool. A large bag would make it clumsy and more difficult to manage. It’s very quiet. Not as quiet as The Handy on its lowest setting, but for its size I was amazed at the quietness. Collection bag - While not essential, a waterproof collection bag makes things a lot more comfortable if you’re working in wet weather, as it prevents moisture from soggy leaves dripping through the bag and onto your legs.The picture-based instructions are simple and designed for the most confused of folk (like me) to put the blower together without fuss. Mulching blades - Metal blades are tougher than plastic, as well as more durable, so are the preferable choice. It has ergonomic handles to manoeuvre it about and the upright design is more user friendly than the shoulder swinging large blowers if you struggle to move comfortably. If you can’t manage a garden vacuum that swings on your shoulder this is the next best thing and it’s certainly worth the money to avoid getting on your hands and knees.

The support wheels work well, but I was able to hold The Handy off the ground for a full half-hour without getting tired. It’s light enough to manage without the wheels, but I can see they’d be useful for folk with trouble lifting. While we invest a great deal of time designing tools that are robust and made to a high standard, like all machines, at times they do fail and we like to make things straight forward and easy for you to understand. If you’re after a leaf blower that provides great value, can both mulch and vacuum, then the VonHaus 3 in 1 blower should definitely be on your list.

One tip to bear in mind, if you choose a multifunctional machine, is that it will be less time consuming if you don’t have to switch nozzles to change between vacuum and blow functions. However, separate blow/vacuum nozzles can improve the accuracy of each function .

You do need to besure that the leaves that you are vacuuming do not contain objects such as stones, acorns and the like. The machine is not designed to deal with anything other than leaves. It's tough, but doesn't eat stones! It has excellent blowing power and when I swapped the heads over its vacuum power was also excellent. The other garden vacuums I tested did not have the finesse provided by doing each function separately.
